Welcome to Perspectives Behavioral Health
Thank you for taking a few moments to pause here at my site. Effective counseling requires a relationship – a right fit. There’s a connection. And we might have that. It also requires trained skills.
I find most of the people I work with aren’t sick, but they’re stuck. They have come to a place where they’re needing to find a better way forward. They know they need a change. Maybe you are there? Our work can help make that happen.
Experience enriches counseling, and I’ve got my share of life’s wrinkles and grey hair.
I’m a Arkansan by birth who spent the majority of my working life in California and Texas, before returning home to Arkansas. Prior to being a therapist, I was a minister and then a professor at California State University in the history department and at Biola University in the areas of Religion and Worldview. For a couple of years, I worked for a history publisher as an editor, where I secured and edited articles from noted academics in U.S. and European universities for an internationally distributed magazine. That was fun! However, working with people more directly and significantly was always on my heart, so I returned to my heart as a therapist. That’s a bit about my journey. If you think I might be a fit for you – let’s connect.
